The Hustle

Another day goes by without a single customer taking interest in buying something from Sam’s antique shop. That is until Fanta wanders into the shop. Sam immediately composes himself and serves Fanta as a friendly salesman, offering her all kinds of novelty items to purchase.

Whilst she seems uninterested at first, something does catch Fanta’s eye. A collection of gold rings. Sam recites an urban legend about the rings, entertaining Fanta with the story of each ring’s supernatural power. Whilst Fanta is fascinated by the story, it doesn’t justify the extortionate price Sam has given them.

After Fanta decides not to buy the rings, Sam puts one of the rings on for himself. Doing so causes Fanta to freeze in place just as she’s about to leave the shop. Sam is in disbelief that the ring truly works, overwhelmed by the possibilities the ring can give him. That being said, Fanta’s insulting comments linger in Sam’s head. If he can’t get money, he’ll get something from her one way or another…
